I'm not a smoker but my mum and sister are. My sister had to stop smoking to go on the pill but after she had quit she said to my family that she wants to smoke. Why do you think that is?

I am considering the " quit smoking today" program, but am wondering if there are negative associations embedded in it. I agree with the idea that stress relief is a major factor, but I am concerned about a placebo effect or scare tactics, and other negative associations with smoking which might be included in the program. Any info on the content would be appreciated.

Yes, it does start with determination, along with educating on the options to help. We wish to help people get both the motivation by understanding how they are damaging their health, and then to find the support to stop for good.

Well, I am not a smoker but I observed that 95% of smokers want to quit the smoking habit either because they don't want to have cancer, or that they are spending too much on cigarettes, or they don't want their children to be smokers, etc. But for one to stop the smoking habit you need to have the determination to do so.
